ISO 14001 has been written to be applicable to all types and sizes of organizations. The overall aim of ISO 14001 is to support environmental protection and prevention of pollution in balance with socioeconomic needs.

Tanzanian Environmental Legal Aspect in compliance with ISO 14001:2015

It follows that the legal requirements, together with the other elements of the environmental policy, must guide the organizations’ objectives and targets and environmental management programmes. It must also be incorporated into operational and monitoring procedures where appropriate.
